The Brno Zoo was founded in 1950 and opened three years later. The
attendance of the garden is over 220,000 visitors per year.

Brno Zoo is located near the Brno Dam (approx. 1 kilometre). It can be
reached by tram from the centre of Brno.
The Brno Zoo is built on a giant
hill/miniature mountain. Rather than flattening out part of the hill,
the Zoo is simply built into the side of it. Paths crisscross the
hill, taking guests from one exhibit to another.
Brno Zoo and started looking for another option. I had heard a few
people talk about a zoo in a small town to the east of Brno, so we
decided to try it. I took Dan with me for some moral support and for
some extra supervision.
The Brno zoological gardens, which are amongst the most important
zoological gardens in the Czech Republic, were founded in 1950, and
first opened to the public in 1953. The zoo is funded by the City of
Brno.

It was for third time when she-bear Cora in Brno zoo was preganat this
winter.
People from Brno zoo have to be carefull, but they can slowly start to
celebrate. Both small bears are very happy, the growing fast and
everyone hope, that they survive.
Driving to Brno ZOO has been complicated since the ZOO launched. It
will change in 2012.
