The Brookfield Zoo is a zoo located in the Chicago suburb of Brookfield, Illinois. The zoo covers an area of 216 acres (874,124 m²) and houses around 450 species of animals.
In 1960, Brookfield Zoo built the nation's first fully-indoor dolphin exhibit, and in the 1980s the zoo introduced Tropic World, the first fully-indoor rain forest simulation and the then-largest indoor zoo exhibit in the world.

The brookfield zoo has more room, more animals, bigger exhibits than LP Zoo. But what it doesn't have is charm and a lack of any sort of admission. So there is almost no reason to go here unless you live next door.
Brookfield zoo sits on over 215 acres of land, LP sits on what, *maybe* an acre or two? BZ has about 30 exhibits that house hundreds of different animals. LP, a fraction of that.
Ok, enough of the obvious stats, the Brookfield zoo itself is pretty nice, well maintained and clean, and now that we're in the autumn season, it is incredibly beautiful (pics in profile).
