The Košice Zoo (Slovak: Košická zoologická záhrada is a zoo in Košice,
Slovakia in the local city part of Kavečany. It is the largest zoo in
Slovakia, as well as in Central Europe, having an area of 288 ha. It
was opened in 1986.

The Košice Zoo is one of Slovakia's four zoos. Its 288 hectares makes
it the biggest zoo in Slovakia and the third largest in Europe, the
SITA news wire wrote.
Košice Zoo, which is just outside the city in Kavečany, has been
rebuilding and adapting its buildings for new arrivals, Kollár said,
and has also been enhancing visitor services.
This coming Saturday Košice ZOO will be changing into a place full of
music, dancing and fun. U. S. Steel Košice is inviting all children to
a Dance Party at the ZOO on the occasion of International Children's
Day.
