as a child with my family, and with school field trips. So going
brings back fond memories. It has grown a lot since it's simple
beginings.

I had a nice time at the Zoo; Their stating to have more there.
" The Little Rock Zoo is accredited by
the American Zoo and Aquarium Association (and not every zoo can say
that), it's fun and it's getting better everyday. It's a great place
to spend the day outside communing with nature and visiting the
animals.
Little Rock Zoo is a participant in may breeding programs. This is a
great time to bring your kids. Not only will they see baby animals,
but the warmer months are the time when the petting zoo is normally
open.
Mike Blakley, The Little Rock Zoo Director, welcomes you and
encourages you to visit the zoo. It has long been one of Arkansas'
great treasures. It all began modestly in 1926, with just two animals
— an abandoned timber wolf and a circus-trained brown bear.

featuring more than 725 animals over 33 acres of beautifully
landscaped property. Guests can walk leisurely through the entire Zoo
in about two to three hours or spend more time in one specific area.
The Little Rock Zoo is the proud home of the Arkansas Carousel,
Over-the-Jumps. This beautiful antique carousel is fully operational
