Philippines.
Mactan Island Aquarium has been priced to be affordable to local
people and kids to visit, not just tourists, as it is in the hands of
the locals to ultimately conserve the Sea Life of the area.

The Mactan Island Aquarium (MIA) opened to the public in September

Mactan Island Aquarium is located in Barangay Maribago on the main
highway around the island - just near White Sands Resort and Imperial
Palace Hotel. It may be reached by private car, taxi, tricycle, jeep
or coach.
Mactan Island Aquarium is similar to Manila’s Ocean Park. It has fish
tanks lined up in galleries. It also features different species of
fish – both saltwater and freshwater. The place has real sharks, too!
MIA is only occupying the basement.

of the sea life in the Cebu Province waters.
The Mactan Island Aquarium, which opened in October last year, was
located in Barangay
Basak, Lapu-Lapu City. When conflict arose between Taylor and the
building owner, the aquarium had to be transferred to its present
location.
Mactan Island Aquarium features a collection of aquarium exhibits that
takes visitors on an underwater tour through the seas and rivers of
the Philippines...
